New 6-Series alternators combine the best of Balmar’s proven quality with the most up-to-date technology – delivering performance and durability that raises the bar for the industry. Dual internal fan construction marks a huge improvement in cooling over traditional external fan models – moving more air through the alternator at idle to cruising rpms – ensuring that internal components stay cool and more efficient. High amperage diodes, over-sized bearings, and brawny rotors and stators are standard. Patented Smart Ready™ regulator system makes it possible to enjoy the benefits of intelligent multi-stage Max Charge or ARS-4 regulators, while ensuring the fail-safe dependability of internal regulation. A low-amperage D+ circuit and a Universal tensioning head round out the package. 12V and 24V models. USCG Title 33, ISO8846, and SAE J1171 ignition protection compliant construction ensures added safety when installed on marine diesel or gasoline engines. Model 622 alternators feature “Pad-type” mounting foot for many Mercruiser, Volvo Penta gas, Kodiak and similar models using Mando fixed mount alternators.
