Hynautic H-21 Series Hydraulic Marine Boat Helm Pump (REBUILD SERVICE ONLY)

Background:

  • Over a period of time the seals in your H21 series Hynautic helm deteriorate and need to be replaced. We can rebuild your H21 here at our facility by our marine techs with 30+ years of experience
  • We HIGHLY recommended rebuilding of your hynautic helm before purchasing NEW H-21, or the SeaStar alternative.

What Helm Pumps Do We Rebuild?

  • H-21, H-21-1 & all variations of the H-21
  • (Less Common) H-29, H-30, H-31 & their variations, you can use this page for these as well.
  • We HIGHLY suggest rebuilding your helm before purchasing a NEW one, you can find NEW H-21's HERE.

How Much Does it Cost?

  • $350 - This includes return shipping, basic rebuild and seal kit
  • Return shipping is FedEx Ground, faster return shipping options are available at checkout
  • Some additional parts may be needed to complete your rebuild, we will contact you before for approval

"RUSH YOUR REBUILD"

  • Option above ($100): Once your helm arrives, we’ll rebuild it and ship it back the same day we receive it. If it arrives in the afternoon, we’ll complete the rebuild and ship it the following business day. Please note, if your part is not rebuildable or requires extensive repairs beyond a standard rebuild, additional time may be needed, and we’ll notify you accordingly. If you would like faster return shipping, select an expedited option at checkout.

How To Remove your Helm:

  • 2 Line Systems:
    1. Remove Wheel and steering lines from helm (cap steering lines and mark Port and Starboard)
    2. Drain ALL oil from helm, if we have to drain the oil for you, there is a $30 fee for us to recycle it
  • 3 Line System
    • Same Steps as 2 line systems but you will need to relieve pressure from the steering pressure reservoir until the gauge reads 0. Proceed with steps 1 - 5 for 2 line system.
  • Notes: Do not use a hammer on the steering shaft as it will damage the threads. Do not use vise grips on the shaft.

How to Ship your Helm:

  1. Add this part to your cart
  2. Checkout
  3. Include a note with:
    1. Your return address
    2. Your phone number, email and order number
    3. Any noticeable issues that you see or feel and any noticeable performance issues, this will help us ensure the rebuild fixes your issue
  4. Ship your helm to us with FedEx, UPS or USPS
  5. Once we receive your helm, we will inspect the part, service it, and send it back.

2nd Option:

  • Include a note in the box with return address, contact information, and part information, ship the part to us, no need to checkout online. Please note, we can track your rebuild better if you place the order online, you acknowledge this when not placing the order online.

About our Rebuild Service:

Seatech Marine Products, located in San Diego, CA has over 30+ years in the marine service business. We are an authorized dealer for Dometic Seastar, and are well versed of the ins and outs of your helm. Once you send your helm into us for rebuild, a marine tech will look over your part and make sure it only needs to be rebuilt, if we encounter more issues we will contact you for approval of repair and for your payment information. Most of the rebuilds we do take 1-2 business days, and we will ship the part back to you. Although your helm is expected to last years, we offer a 6 month limited warranty. Please do not send in your helm if it is frozen from corrosion or has holes in it.

Terms of Purchase:

  • If the part is not rebuildable, inspection fee is $40 + return shipping, $20 of that can be applied to a new part
  • Drain ALL oil from helm, if we have to drain the oil for you, there is a $30 fee for us to recycle it
  • Estimated rebuild time is ONLY AN ESTIMATE, and is based off of when we receive your part, how many rebuilds we have going on at the moment, and how much attention your part will need. In no way is the ESTIMATED rebuild time a guarantee. If you need the part rebuild immediately (1 full day of having it) tell us in the order comments and we will contact you for a rush fee ($100)
