The Dometic SeaStar HP6160 is a high-performance seal gland kit specifically designed for Tournament II Series front mount hydraulic steering cylinders, including the HC6845, HC6845S, and HC6850. This OEM-grade kit includes all required components—plus the necessary end gland wrench—to restore your cylinder’s sealing integrity.

Applicable Cylinder Models

Tools Required

• End Gland Pin Wrench (included in kit)
• 9/16", 1/2", 5/8", and 3/4" open-end or box wrenches
• Torque wrench
• 5/8" and 3/4" sockets
• 9/16" long socket with extension
• Good quality marine grease

Installation Overview (not complete)

1. Remove support brackets and note spacer positions.
2. Position piston to minimize fluid loss (turn wheel starboard).
3. Remove end gland retaining bolts and access pin wrench holes.
4. Use provided wrench to remove the end gland.
5. Lubricate and install new seals and end gland using seal guide.
6. Apply thread locker and re-torque retaining bolts to 50 ft-lbs.
7. Repeat procedure on the port side.
8. Reinstall support rod, spacers, and brackets with proper torque.
9. Affix new locking gland decals.
10. Bleed the system following SeaStar’s standard procedure.
